THE Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Tynedale, with fears that the incoming Storm Ali could bring a danger to life.
With gusts of up to 60mph possible inland, the weather service is warning that flying debris could cause injuries or even death.
A more severe amber warning is in place for north west, as well as Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Very strong winds and heavy rain will reach Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland during Wednesday. @MetEireann and @metoffice have just jointly named this system "Storm Ali". Warnings will be updated later this morning. #StormAli pic.twitter.com/UIBCl5vmcw

The Met Office said that journeys by road, air, rail and ferry are likely to be disrupted and some roads and bridges may close, while tiles could be blown off roofs. Fallen branches or even trees are also possible.
Power cuts could occur, while other services such as mobile phone coverage could also be affected.
