Haltwhistle man appears in court after post office robbery
A HALTWHISTLE man will appear at crown court next month after he was arrested following a robbery at Haltwhistle Post Office.
Stephen Jarvis (20) of Greenholme Road, appeared at South East Northumberland Magistrates Court, in Bedlington on Tuesday and was charged with robbery and possession of a bladed article.
Police said they received a report of a robbery at Haltwhistle Post Office on Main Street at 9.30am on Monday.
Jarvis was released on conditional bail and will be appear at Newcastle Crown Court on Tuesday, October 9.
