A MAN has died after a collision between a car and a lorry on the A68.
The HGV and a Mini crashed at 7.30am on Monday morning and emergency services rushed to the scene.
Police have now confirmed that a man - the driver of the Mini - died as a result of the collision. They said an identification process is now under way.
The road was shut for more than nine hours while an investigation was carried out and the road was cleared, but it has now reopened.
Police are now asking anyone who witnessed the collision to help them with their inquiries by contacting 101 and quoting reference 187 of 13/08/18 or through Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
