County councillor Gordon Stewart is looking for volunteers to organise new sports clubs, after he said the town had the facilities to offer more.
Eastwoods Park and the Prudhoe Riverside area have both been recently improved by Northumberland County Council and Coun. Stewart said these could be utilised. He said: “This is a growing town, with some very well run and popular sporting clubs, but we have the capacity to offer even more for the community.
“I want to encourage people to use the great facilities we have in this town to its full potential.”
