CONCERN is growing for a tourist who has not been seen for over a week and is believed to have been walking Hadrian's Wall
Police are appealing for Alan Davies (55), from the Stevenage area of Hertfordshire, to get in touch.
Mr Davies booked into the Old Repeater Station bed and breakfast at Grindon, near Haydon Bridge, on Thursday August 28, but left and failed to return to pick up any belongings. He is believed to have money with him but so far there have been no reported sightings.
Mr Davies was spoken to briefly by phone on Tuesday, September 2, when he stated he was fit and well and would return to the bed and breakfast the following day. However since then there has been no further contact.
Mr Davies is described as 5ft 6inches tall, of slim build, with short grey/brown hair with a side parting and a fair complexion.
He is believed to have been wearing a black strap watch with a pink face and green waterproof jacket at the time of his disappearance.
