WE turn the clock back just 10 years, to the 14th Bardon Mill and Roman Empire Conker Championship.
Emperor Hadrian would have been pleased at the fighting spirit on display in, as hundreds of locals and visitors lined up to do battle within striking distance of his famous Wall.
