We met the owners of Northside Farm, husband and wife team Olivia and Ralph Lockey, to find out what exactly makes Northside Farm so unique. Having had the tour of this striking 150 year old barn, Northside Farm could be summed up as having spectacular views, charm and character, bringing the feel of Northumberland history to your special event.

The lovingly restored barn, retains its original character along with many features, to provide a versatile space that is unique, elegant and quirky. The entire barn is adorned with natural light, with french doors leading out to stunning views of Northumberland.

A wedding at Northside Farm isn’t just a one day affair, you are given the entire site, including the Wigwam Orchard, for a full weekend of celebrations with your friends and family. Imagine making your wedding vows whilst the sun light radiates throughout the rooms, with views that make your ceremony effortlessly romantic. Or choose one of the many outdoor areas, such as the beautiful lakeside.

Invite up to 150 guests to your ceremony and wedding breakfast, and celebrate into the night with up to 250 of your loved ones. For the happy couple, the honeymoon wigwam, with twinkle lights and rustic touches, is a stylish and tranquil retreat after the excitement of the day.

The food at your wedding, like the whole day, should be perfect. Northside Farm has teamed up with a local caterer who shares their passion to offer high quality food, that is visually stunning with innovative options. They cater for all styles and budgets, and take pride in their flexible approach and high standards. Hog roasts, afternoon tea, 3 course meals or silver service nothing is too much to ask!

As well as providing an excellent fully stocked and serviced bar, the team at Northside Farm also work closely with Wylam Brewery, a local microbrewery, providing top quality real ale.

Weddings aren’t the only area that Northside Farm specialise in. They also offer unique corporate functions, which reflect the company’s distinct requirements and brand. The barn can hold events of up to 250 people for a conference style and up to 150 people for a formal catered function. Northside Farm can tailor each package to fit in with specific requirements, including catering, accommodation and entertainment.

Accommodation at Northside Farm comes in the form of a Wigwam Orchard.

Glamorous camping, or glamping as it is often referred to, is the escape you’ve been meaning to take. It allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The state of the art, hand-made timber cabins have been constructed with great care and as you would expect, include heating and electricity.

The beautiful orchard provided the inspiration for each of the ten wigwams, with each one being named after a different fruit tree. You are actively encouraged to taste the fruits when in blossom. Why not experience the outdoors without sacrificing on comfort?
