The Government’s Farming Recovery Fund will be top of the agenda, along with how best to get land back into productive use.
Representatives from the RPA, Environment Agency, Natural England and the local authority will give a short presentation and answer any questions.
NFU regional environment adviser James Copeland said: “Although the fund will not cover the cost of replanting lost crops, it will help with the cost of restoring agricultural land to the condition it was in before flooding.”
The meeting will begin at 9.30am.Attendees must register beforehand on (01904) 451550 and would benefit from downloading the application form and guidance booklet available on www.gov.uk/rpa
