PREPARATIONS are well under way for the third annual Tynedale Jobs Fair.

Organised by Hexham Job Centre Plus and MP Guy Opperman, and supported by Thompsons of Prudhoe and Northumberland County Council, the event will take place at Hexham’s Wentworth Leisure Centre on Thursday, September 28 between 10am and 4pm.

With a wide range of businesses attending – all of them recruiting – there will be something for everyone, whether looking for a new job, a change of direction, a training opportunity or help to get back into work.

Confirmed attendees include Waitrose, Owen Pugh, Thompsons of Prudhoe, Matfen Hall Hotel, Royal Navy and Intu Metrocentre shopping centre.

Also in attendance will be Northumberland College and the National Careers Service, with more businesses confirming every day in the run-up to the event.

“This will be the third Tynedale Jobs Fair and we are hoping that it will be the biggest and most successful yet,” said Mr Opperman.

“With the support of major Tynedale business, Thompsons of Prudhoe, and Northumberland County Council, we are expecting a record number of businesses and employers for what promises to be a great event for the area.”
