TYNEDALE Lions Club has a new president at the helm in its 40th anniversary year.
Jonathan Hill has taken over the role of leading the club from Peter Hawkins and is set continue the proud history of fund-raising and community involvement.
Jonathan, a retired electrical engineer, said he was proud to be at the helm of the organisation during what is also the centennial year of Lions International.
To mark the milestone, the club has already given support to parish councils across the district to help them complete projects of benefit to the community.
These include a water trail in Newbrough, a play park and sports equipment project in Riding Mill and Humshaugh Children's Playing Field Trust.
Local charities or organisations in need of help with a particular project can contact the club by email on tynedalelionsclub@gmail.com
