Smartphone and tablet photography, creative writing, Spanish for beginners, arts and crafts, cookery, willow weaving, ballroom, Charleston and jazz dancing and guitar lessons are all examples of the Leisure Learning courses available.
Courses are taking place across Northumberland, including at the Kirkley Hall campus of Northumberland College and the Hearth Arts Centre in Horsley throughout this month, with more courses being added in the new year.
Karen Clough, head of Leisure Learning at Northumberland College said: “We are very excited to launch our brand-new Leisure Learning courses across Northumberland.
“The aim is to provide members of the community with classes that are fun, practical, hands-on and creative.
“These courses are ideal for those who can only spare a couple of hours per week.”
