The branch, on the Bridge End Industrial Estate, was officially opened by local tradesman Andy Brown.
Hexham store manager Nick Zinonos said: “We chose to open a new store in Hexham to better meet the needs of local tradespeople. Many of our new customers previously shopped at our Newcastle stores, so we’re delighted to bring Screwfix closer to them for greater convenience.”
The Screwfix Foundation supports local charities and community projects. Tynedale registered charities are invited to apply for funding by visiting the store to pick up a leaflet or by downloading an application form online at www.screwfixfoundation.com
