HARD workers who sweat behind the scenes to make sporting success possible will be celebrated in a new awards scheme.
The Sports Business Awards will see sporting heroes such as Steve Cram, Colin Jackson and Sir Steve Redgrave on the judging panel.
Launched by the team behind the Football Business Awards, the awards seek to celebrate the organisers, suppliers, designers, administrators, technology experts and companies behind the business of sport.
The 22 categories include Best Sports Event of the Year, Sports Innovation Award, Best in Sports Media, Sports City of the Year and Sports Tech of the Year.
Rory Ross Russell, co-founder of the awards, said: “Every sport would not be what it is without the teams and individuals behind the scenes, working to develop, grow and establish or evolve the sport.
“Passionate about their roles and the sports they’re involved in, those individuals and teams will be recognised and celebrated on Friday, June 2 at the awards ceremony.”
