A PRUDHOE cleaning business has celebrated moving into its new premises with an award win – just two years after it started up.
Sarah Goldsmith started Purple House Maid and Purple Commercial Cleaning from her kitchen table in May, 2015.
After starting with a small cleaning kit and her own vacuum cleaner, Sarah and her 10 staff have now moved into office space on Front Street, above Lesley Dummett Hair Stylist.
Sarah said she is over the moon with the business’ progress, which has seen it grow by 269 per cent in the past year.
And to top off that success, the business has received an award for Best Residential Cleaning Service Company in Tyne and Wear from the North-East Enterprise Awards.
As well as residential cleaning, the staff do commercial cleaning in and around the Prudhoe area.
Sarah, a mum of two, said: “I wanted a job that worked around the kids. We employ working parents and a lot of our clients are working parents, so it’s about being flexible.
“I’m over the moon we won the award because it just shows that all of our hard work has paid off.”
The business is looking to grow further, and anyone interested in flexible cleaning work should get in touch.
