A TYNEDALE legal firm has been strengthened with the recruitment of a graduate trainee.

Jenny Wilkes, a graduate of Northumbria University has joined Toomey Legal, the licensed conveyancer based in Corbridge. Jenny is wicketkeeper and batsman with the Corbridge Ladies cricket team, and celebrated the first week in her new job with an unbeaten century.

Sue Shaw-Toomey, who founded the business two years ago, said: “Jenny is a fantastic addition to the team at Toomey Legal. We know she is a team-player, and will be a great support to customers.”

The new appointment coincides with the introduction of a new interactive website by Toomey Legal, designed to give clients the latest updates on the progress of house sales or purchases.

Sue said: “When you are buying a property, it can be a challenge to find out what is happening with your purchase or the sale of your house from a legal standpoint. We hear stories where buyers have to call their solicitors multiple times for an update that takes all of 30 seconds. Toomey Legal recognises this and have developed this portal so clients can obtain updates as needed, taking some of the difficulty away.”
