A CORBRIDGE businesswoman is bringing a scientific approach to beauty care to the Tyne Valley.

Adopting shockwave treatments to the services she provides, Nicola Hobrough is looking to revolutionise anti-ageing and beauty treatments through her new business Beauty & Therapy UK.

Sharing premises with her physio husband Paul, who runs Physio & Therapy UK from Tinklers Yard in Corbridge, the aim is to mix traditional methods with ultra- modern techniques.

Among these is the use of shockwave machines which have been reported to work wonders on clearing up cellulite.

With the method utilised on athletes looking to recover from injuries, it was revealed that people’s skin would get tighter through the technique.

And it is a device Nicola wants to roll out across the district after reading of the benefits.

She said: “I have spent hours and weeks and months researching beauty and anti-ageing, and there is nowhere really outside of London, that you can get this service in
the UK.

“It’s really amazing and the results are off the scale, and it all came about by accident!

“It’s really scientifically based and all our treatments have some medical based background.”

Nicola will be joined in the clinic by two experienced beauticians, Radha Parmar and Suzi Scott.

Radha has worked in the aesthetic industry in California for 12 years specialising in plastic surgery and skincare, while Suzi works with the more traditional beauty methods, such as waxing, nails, facials and body treatments.

The clinic will also be visited by doctors, dentists and nurses on a regular basis.

Nicola said: “It’s about treating yourself and looking after yourself, and looking young and keeping your skin in the best condition it can ever be.

“What’s great about this clinic is that it’s in the heart of Tynedale,
so people won’t have to travel
into Newcastle for the latest treatments.”
