BUS company Arriva has launched a new app to help travellers save time by planning journeys from their phone.
A new m-ticket app will enable bus passengers to use different payment methods to purchase tickets.
These include PayPal, Apple Pay and Android Pay, and regular bus suers will be able to buy repeat tickets using the app.
Arriva says phone signal will not be an issue as customers can access their tickets both offline and online.
And for people who want to
buy a ticket on behalf of someone else, the new app enables people
to‘gift’ tickets to friends and family.
Gillian Singh, Marketing and NPD director at Arriva UK Bus, said: “The advances to the new app will make bus travel easier than ever for all our customers.
“We know through speaking to our passengers that they are keen to see increased use of digital technology and the new app supports our aim to make their journeys as easy and enjoyable as possible.”
