A GENTLE reminder about Sunday’s garden walk (run by St Peter’s, Falstone) which will take you round 14 private gardens in and around Falstone.

The map and route of the garden walks will be sold in the village hall from 1pm onwards (under 16-year-olds are free) and the walk itself starts at 1.30pm.

The price includes refreshments and a buffet in the village hall at the end of the walk.

THE second service at Kielder Church in the Castle will be on Sunday, July 19, at 2.30pm.

It will once again be led by Anne Taylor, and there will be light refreshments to follow.

In August, the church will be joined by a modern hymn writer, who will be playing some of his own hymns. More details to follow.

A QUICK reminder that anyone in the Upper North Tyne area (including Kielder, Falstone, Stannersburn, Donkleywood, Greenhaugh, Lanehead, all the areas in between, and all residents of Tarset and Greystead on both sides of the river!) is welcome to submit any news, views and event information to me for inclusion in the village notes.

If an event isn’t included in the notes, it will only be because I haven’t been told about it, so please do feel free to contact me directly and let me have details. The email address to send information is saharagirl@btinternet.com
