DRAMATIC footage taken from the skies above Corbridge, shot by Paul Whittle using a drone, shows the aftermath of the worst floods to hit Tynedale in living memory.

Fields along the swollen river resemble lakes and the devastation left in the wake of Storm Desmond can be seen in the swamped village car park and allotments on the south side of the bridge.

The aerial footage, which was filmed on Monday morning, also shows Station Road still underwater before a fire service high volume pump from Pegswood Fire Station, near Morpeth, was brought in to help pump out standing water.
